Okay, I recently complained about the new photo ID cards and the doubling of the
guest fee - from $5 to $10 - at the pool. Fine, they are done and accepted.
But a visit Sunday showed some of the drawbacks still being
found. First, many know how rule crazy it gets there. No sitting on the edge of the pool, no jumping into the diving tank
off diving boards. And do not even think of climbing out on anything but a ladder.
And are
we the only ones getting stinging eyes from the high chlorine levels?
But, Sunday, there was another problem, and it sparked unnecessary fears. At about 4:30 p.m., a frightening
call of an emergency went out of the loudspeaker, almost alarming us and our children. No indication was given what the emergency
was. Just a direct order to clear the pool, stand behind yellow lines, and for all children to go to their parents.
Yes, a bit scary for some young ones.
It appears some child was lost or hurt
or something. We were never told. To make matters worse, the order was never given to return to the pool and that the
emergency had ended.
Not
good!
