Check out these meetings of importance
The Township Committee will hold two special meetings in January to review the 2010
budget and present plans for the upcoming property tax revaluation.
The first budget meeting is set for Saturday,
Jan. 9. With a $3 million deficit and furloughs already planned, these should be lively. Have your say. The revaluation presentations will be
held for commercial property owners at 8 a.m. on Wed., Jan. 20, and for residents at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at De
Hart Center. After what happened in the last reval, find out how this wil be handled. If, like us, your taxes went up
30%, it will be of interest. Finally, representatives from the U.S. Census will be in town
to discuss the upcoming population count, which impacts what aid we receive. See them on Jan. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at Prospect and Springfield.
