School officials estimate more than 700 students walked the walk Friday in mandatory event
  The annual MMS silent peace march through Maplewood Vilage went off without a hitch Friday morning. At about 9:30 a.m., the
700-person group strolled through downtown, walking up one side of Maplewood Avenue and down the other.The yearly happening is timed for the
Friday before Martin Luther King Day. With Friday as Jan. 15, it occurred on King's actual birthday. Police helped keep streets
clear, but no problems occurred.
